It separates a single vaccination, a complete oral course and a planning estimate for services normally priced per dose. Where the course is recorded, the tool shows the multiplication used and a running total. If the applicable course depends on assessment, the service is not silently included in the total. This keeps the estimate understandable and avoids giving false precision.
A displayed course cost is a budgeting aid, not a quote or treatment plan. Hepatitis B, rabies and other multi-dose services can have alternative schedules, previous valid doses may change what remains, and the pharmacist may recommend a different product or timing after assessment. Supplier availability can also affect the final charge. The estimate only reflects items you select; it does not infer that a country result means you should buy a vaccine. Suitability and the actual number of doses must be confirmed before supply.

How to budget for a travel clinic appointment
Begin with your complete itinerary and check the destination pages for general discussion topics. Then select only the services you want to compare in the calculator. Each line shows whether the price is for one dose or an indicative course. Save room in your budget for items outside vaccination, such as travel insurance, mosquito repellent, a suitable first-aid kit and any prescription antimalarial medicine that is clinically appropriate. Antimalarial costs depend on the product and number of tablets, so they are handled during an assessment rather than guessed here.
If you have a vaccination record, bring it to the appointment. A clear record may prevent unnecessary repeat doses and helps the pharmacist understand whether a booster or completion dose is relevant. It is also worth checking whether your employer, university, insurer or occupational-health service covers any part of the cost.
